Champions for Coral Innovation Accelerator Gala

All across the globe, corals and coral reefs are experiencing a major decline. Since 1950, over two-thirds of the world’s reefs have already been lost due to human activity, and the remaining 70-90 percent of global coral reefs may disappear in the next 10-15 years.

To help reverse these alarming numbers and rewrite the future for corals, I attended the “Champions for Coral Innovation Accelerator Gala” held by G20 CORDAP at the Science Museum in London. The event celebrated global partnerships that aim to secure a safe future for corals worldwide.

The evening highlighted the importance of international collaboration in addressing the challenges faced by coral reefs. Distinguished guests, scientists, and environmental advocates, including HRH Prince Sultan bin Fahad Al-Saud and HRH Princess Hala bint Khaled bin Sultan, came together, united by a common goal: advancing coral conservation.

It was inspiring to be among such passionate and dedicated individuals, all working towards a brighter future for our oceans.
